This sector is faced with many days throughout the year with little or no activity punctuated by short periods of high intense volumes. Our services can begin with establishing letting and funding strategies and preliminary spatial planning, followed by detailed design of catering outlets and food offers tailored to these nuances.

    Tricon were appointed to develop a foodservice strategy and operational design brief to inform the design teams planning. Subsequently we developed a scheme and detailed design package for the market tendering and project managed the installation of the catering equipment package elements.

    Tricon provided strategic development and design advice, followed by designs for the foodservice areas. We were then subsequently engaged as part of the design team for the phase 2 development incorporating a 5,000 seat convention centre and multipurpose hall. As part of this development, Tricon has designed a central production kitchen for the site to service a 3,000 seat banquet hall.

    This multipurpose venue plays host to conferences, concerts and promotional events. Tricon were appointed to develop a suitable food and beverage strategy for the site and assist with informing the spatial requirements for kitchen areas. Subsequently Tricon carried out full detailed design and project management of the catering installation.

    Tricon was appointed by the design and build contractor to review the clients outline designs and ensure the layout was fit for purpose to meet their design liabilities. This critique resulted in a revisit of the design principles to reduce capital and space requirements and improve operating efficiencies of the design. We then prepared a fully coordinated tender design package.

    Tricon worked with the design and build team to develop scheme & detailed design, having worked initially with the winning architectural team on foodservice strategy and space planning at the stage of architectural competition.

  • SECC - Glasgow, UK

    SECC - Glasgow, UK

    Tricon was appointed to devise an operational and design brief for Scotland's national venue for public events with 5 main halls hosting numerous pop concerts and seating 13,500 spectators. We worked with the project team on the spatial planning of the foodservice areas to ensure a scalable solution. Tricon subsequently assisted the Client with the tendering of the catering provision.
