The Brass Rail Restaurant was originally established and designed in the 1960s and became infamous for its salt beef sandwiches. Over the years the physical appearance of the restaurant had become dated and inefficient. Tricon was briefed to assist with the restaurant’s redesign for its new location in the food hall. With 20% less space available, this presented some key challenges in terms of introducing a more aesthetically pleasing design, increased on-going public demand and increased pressure on the back of house operation. The resultant re-design balances ambience and design with functionality as well as being a successful commercial venture.
